Paul Mackney, former general secretary of NATFHE, is one of the speakers at the North East public rally against cuts next month. He will be joined by Shirley Ford (co-ordinator, North East Green Party), Nigel Todd (Labour councillor in Newcastle) and a number of leading local trade unionists.
