Coalition of Resistance conference: speakers and agenda

Founding conference for Coalition of Resistance - Saturday 27 November, 10am-5pm, Camden Centre, London

'More than 500 people have registered to attend. People are coming from all parts of the country. Please ensure that your local anti-cuts group is represented.

There is transport arranged from number of areas including Wigan, Doncaster and Leeds. Those who have registered will receive their tickets by Wednesday of next week. If anyone has any other questions about the conference please ring Andrew Burgin on 07939 242229.

There will be elections for a National Steering Committee - nominations will be taken at the conference from individuals,organisations and anti-cuts groups that support Tony Benn's statement. There will a vote on a campaigning plan for the forthcoming period. The plan of action will be amendable at the conference and will include suggestions from the sessions.

This is a founding conference and we are proposing that the incoming steering committee prepare a resolution based conference to take place within 9 months.'
