On Saturday I'll be a Tyneside group delegate to Stop the War's national conference, with a seat booked on the Newcastle to London train at the utterly indecent time of 6am. So the rest of you have no excuse!
This info comes via a Stop the War circular:
30 October: STOP THE WAR'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE
10.00am - 5.30pm (conference registration 9.30am)
Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4RL (Tube: Holborn)
Full details and tickets HERE.
'The Stop the War annual conference will discuss our policies and strategy for the coming year, debate resolutions (published HERE) and elect a new national steering committee.
Keynote speakers are TONY BENN, former soldier JOE GLENTON (pictured), Guardian journalist SEUMAS MILNE and JOY GORDON, author of Invisible War: The United States and the Iraq Sanctions.
The conference is open to all members of Stop the War Coalition either as delegates of affiliated organisations or as individuals. If you are not a member and wish to attend, please join now (it costs as little as £2 a month).'
