If you are looking for an alternative on Royal Wedding Day...

'Recently restored to its original version, Sergei Eisenstein's groundbreaking film portraits the uprising on the Russian Battleship Potemkin against the officers of the Tsarist regime. There are few scenes in cinema as striking and memorable as that pram careering down the Odessa steps or the cannons of fellow battleships going down to signal their joining the revolution. Edmund Meisel's original orchestral score accentuates the excellent conception of rhythm and the innovative editing style.

A Restoration by the Deutsche Kinemathek - Museum für Film und Fernsehen.
In cinemas across the UK from 29 April 2011.'
