Timeline with John Rees: Chavez and the Bolivarian Revolution

This is interesting in its own right, but also as part of a broader left-wing debate about revolution and socialist strategy in the 21st century.

  1. With regards ownership in the Venezuelan economy - it's worth noting that since the Bolivarian process started there has been strong government support for the co-operative sector, not only as a means of empowering people in their communities, but also as a way of formalising the informal economy and encouraging production for domestic markets.

I think this is often overlooked in terms of understanding the broad base of support for the changes that have taken place in Venezuela.
