A glimpse into a future Tory government?

ConservativeHome has published the findings of its survey of 141 Conservative parliamentary candidates, who were asked to rank their political priorities. Here's the top three:

1. Reducing the budget deficit
2. Cutting red tape and regulation, especially for small businesses
3. Reducing welfare bills

And what was bottom? Reducing Britain's carbon footprint, of course. Cameron's new 'green' Conservatism didn't last long, did it? 'Better road and rail services' and 'affordable housing' were also near the foot of the table. So, we can expect cuts to public services from a Tory government, with no hope for public transport, housing and the planet we depend upon.
